Week-Block MBA Program for Working Professionals

Dr. Jim Hoffman, Director
The Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University is currently offering an MBA program taught in an executive format designed specifically for working professionals. We currently have 35 working professionals in our program. The current class of working professionals started the program during May 2008 and are scheduled to graduate in August 2010. Applications are currently being accepted for the class starting May 2010.
Our Week-Block MBA program is offered in a cutting edge format designed specifically for working professionals. Under this format, working professionals have the opportunity to earn their MBA in a condensed program, in which classes will meet in Lubbock during 5 one-week blocks spread out over 27 months. Specifically, classes will meet each year during the months of May and August. Classes will begin Saturday morning and conclude just over a week later at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Additionally, all class meetings will be videotaped and available on DVD in the event that you must miss class.
The program is fully accredited and consists of 48 hours of graduate course work and a non-credit component designated as the Enhancement Program in Business, which will complement the courses in the MBA program. For those applicants with three or more years of appropriate experience, GMAT scores will not be required. The total cost for the MBA program for Working Professionals is $35,000 for residents of the state of Texas and $45,000 for non-residents of Texas plus a $50 application fee. This covers all program costs except for travel and lodging. An advanced fee of $1,000 and the $50 application fee (both non-refundable after May 10th, 2010) are required upon application. The remainder of the cost will be divided into seven approximately equal increments due once every four months at the beginning of each term.
